Joseph Ritzel is senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Day & Zimmermann. He has held this position since 2001. Mr. Ritzel joined Day & Zimmermann in 1983 as vice president of finance for a Systems Engineering subsidiary after leaving Touche Ross & Co. In 1991, he was promoted to vice president and corporate controller for Day & Zimmermann, moving into the role of vice president and treasurer in 1994. Three years later Mr. Ritzel was named vice president and group controller for the company's Government Systems Group and then senior vice president and group controller for Day & Zimmermann's Mason & Hanger Division, prior to assuming his current role. During the course of his career Joe has been instrumental in supporting the growth of the Company through creating and adapting meaningful financial information for decision making, M&A structuring and negotiations, successfully negotiating with lenders and building great talent in the financial organization and throughout the Company.
Mr. Ritzel holds a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University and is active in multiple charitable organizations including serving on the Board and as President of Pride Ventures, Inc (a nonprofit that provides training and transitional employment services to individuals with developmental disabilities).
